The iPhone SE 4 has been stirring up the rumour mill for months, and while Apple has kept tight-lipped, leaks haven’t slowed down. Now, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that the budget-friendly iPhone could drop as early as next week via a classic Apple press release, with sales kicking off a week later. If true, it won’t be long before we see what Apple’s most affordable Face ID iPhone offers.

The iPhone SE 4 is set to be Apple’s most budget-friendly device with Apple Intelligence, featuring some major upgrades. Ditching the iPhone 8-era design, it’s expected to mirror the iPhone 14 with an all-screen look and swap the Touch ID Home button for Face ID.
The display is also expected to get a size boost, reportedly expanding to 6.06 inches, making it significantly larger than its predecessor. The iPhone SE 4 is also rumoured to ditch LCD in favour of a 6.1-inch OLED panel, marking the final iPhone to make the switch—something Apple started with the iPhone 12 lineup.
Keeping up with Apple’s latest changes, the SE 4 is expected to adopt USB-C, just like the iPhone 15. While it will stick to a single-lens camera to keep costs in check, it could still pack the 48MP Main sensor from the iPhone 15, giving budget buyers a serious camera upgrade.
Rumours suggest the iPhone SE 4 could swap the mute switch for an Action Button, a feature first seen on the iPhone 15 Pro and set to appear across the iPhone 16 lineup. However, leaked dummy units haven’t shown signs of this—or the rumoured Camera Control button—raising doubts about their inclusion.
Under the hood, the SE 4 is expected to pack the A18 chip from the iPhone 16, unlocking Apple Intelligence features. It might also be the first iPhone to sport Apple’s in-house 5G modem, signalling a move away from Qualcomm.
