However, lets just look away from the four-wheeled EVs for now, and turn our focus to the two-wheeler space. Simple Energy One (2025)

Simple Energy’s updated One electric scooter is a performance and range beast. It can do a rather impressive 105km/h top speed, and even feels quite stable and planted while getting there with the right road conditions. It’s also great on hill roads for tight cornering, and can realistically do over 180km on a charge thanks to its total of 5kWh battery capacity. 

At Rs. 1,66,694 it’s a bit expensive, but you do get a good-looking scooter that gets a fair bit of sporty feel and performance. Availability is a bit iffy for now, but Simple Energy has big plans for 2025.

Ultraviolette F77 SuperStreet

Probably the most exciting Indian-made electric two-wheeler right now, the Ultraviolette F77 SuperStreet looks sharp, is powerful, and improves upon the riding position of the F77 Mach 2 with a more relaxed riding position that is better suited to city riding. It’s a powerful e-bike, and can do 0-60km/h in 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 155km/h.

The riding modes are well calibrated, and the Recon version of the bike comes with a big 10.3kWh battery which delivers a claimed riding range of up to 323km per charge. It’s about as sporty as you can get on two wheels, powered by a battery.

Ampere Nexus

The top electric scooter in Ampere’s lineup, the Nexus is the fastest, zippiest, and most practical e-scooter from the brand. With a top speed of 93km/h and a claimed real-world range of 100km per charge, the Nexus is pitched as a practical and powerful electric scooter that can replace your petrol-powered scooter for all your city commuting needs. Usefully, you also get turn-by-turn navigation and a fully-digital display, providing you useful info on the go.

The most expensive electric scooter on this list at Rs. 4,50,000, the BMW CE 02 is also perhaps the most interesting to look at thanks to its radical styling. You also get a top speed on 95km/h and a claimed range of up to 108km per charge on its 3.9kWh battery. It’s expensive, but it is a BMW.

TVS X

The performance-focused TVS X electric scooter is expensive at Rs. 2,49,990, but it’s also probably the most tech-focused scooter in this list. Apart from impressive riding specs such as a top speed of 105km/h and a claimed range of 140km per charge, the TVS X impressively has an Android Auto compatible infotainment display.

Use this to connect your smartphone and get full connected access to navigation, music, and notifications while you ride. This also makes the touchscreen display quite rich and feature-filled, along with delivering Google Maps navigation and easy access to all your streaming services.
