Kodak launches magnetic iPhone chargers

Something isn’t clicking here. That’s right because we’re talking about a Kodak that isn’t a camera! Partnering with Georgian Enterprises from Bengaluru, Kodak has introduced a handy way to charge your iPhone in the car or home by reducing some clutter.

The Car WCM101C magnetic wireless charger comes with a mount that fits most standard car AC vents while promising magnets powerful enough to not launch your iPhone into orbit when you hit a bad patch on the road. It also comes with a detachable vent hook and a grip-locking ring for added security. The square-shaped body uses a 360-degree rotating ball mount with which you can use your iPhone in both landscape and portrait modes while charging.

Similarly, the desktop version, the WCM201 also features neodymium magnets and the same 15W charging capacity. It comes with a kickstand for using the iPhone in any orientation and like the car charger, features protection against over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and over-charging. 

There is no brick included in the package, just the USB cable and will sell for ₹2,499 on Amazon and Flipkart. Mind you, since they are magnetic chargers, they will only be compatible with iPhone 12 and later devices. You’ll need to ensure that you have a 20W USB car charger or wall charger lying around, or add it to the shopping cart.
