Top 5 foldables of 2024!

Who’s making waves in the world of foldables – OnePlus, Samsung, Vivo, Google or Xiaomi?

Foldable phones are all the rage, yes, even in 2024, turning heads and breaking banks (of course). But one thing we, at Stuff, believe in is that foldable smartphones shouldn't just be about — folding flat and opening with barely a hint of a crease, instead they should be about bending the rules of what a smartphone can be. It should combine the best of both worlds, functioning as two devices in one, where the whole should truly be greater than the sum of its parts.

So, as usual, we have done the heavy lifting and rounded up the best foldable phones currently on the market, along with the most anticipated ones coming soon. Have a look.

1) OnePlus Open Apex Edition | ₹1,49,999

Our top pick from last year remains a standout in 2024. The OnePlus Open’s seamless blend of software intelligence and hardware prowess continues to impress even with the Apex Edition. The OnePlus Open Apex Edition is essentially the same as the original but with a fresh coat of paint and a new dedicated security chip. This chip introduces VIP Mode, which blocks all camera and microphone access across the device, ensuring privacy. You can activate VIP Mode by sliding the Alert Slider to the top, now with an orange accent to match the Crimson Shadow color scheme. For a detailed review, click here

2) Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 | ₹1,76,999

Next up is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. While the Galaxy Z Fold series shares the iPhone's reputation for minimal visual changes between generations, those subtle tweaks add up to significant improvements when you start using the device daily. If you're a fan of the book-style foldable, the Z Fold 6 offers a more manageable experience than its predecessor. Samsung has also boosted the phone's durability, enhancing its water and dust resistance with an IP48 rating. Check out our first impressions of the device here

3) Vivo X Fold3 Pro | 1,59,999

After a long wait, Vivo has finally stepped into the foldable arena with the X Fold3 Pro. This premium device fully embraces the smartphone-to-tablet form factor, featuring several industry "firsts" and "bests". It’s also a powerhouse on the spec sheet when it comes to the processor and camera, thus promising a no-holds-barred folding smartphone experience.
