Apple’s AirPods Max get the Gucci treatment

Whether you like or love the AirPods Max, the verdict on its confusing case is unanimous. Everyone seems to find it a bit, well…embarrassing. Luckily, if you’re in the mood to spend twice the price of the AirPods Max’s themselves, Gucci might have a solution! 

Part of its Ophidia line of cases, the Gucci AirPods Max case has been designed blending vintage and contemporary design elements. Material include a beige and ebony GG Supreme recyclable outer canvas with gold rivets and brown leather trim. 

No details have been revealed about any magnets in the case to enable the battery-saving Sleep mode on the AirPods Max, but it does shut with a snap button closure. The double-G Gucci emblem and the red and green emblem will announce your arrival and ensure you get noticed with its shoulder strap that makes it look like a bonafide fashion accessory. 

With insides that are lined with Neoprene and viscose it protects your precious cans from getting scratched and you’ll also find the word ‘Hodiernum’ printed on the inner sleeve, which is Latin for ‘belonging to the present day.’ 

Pretentious? Perhaps. Expensive? Certainly! But there’s no doubt that this $980 (approx ₹73,500) luxury fashion case will find its share of takers.
