Apple has finally launched the completely redesigned MacBook Air with a 13.6in Liquid Retina display and smaller bezels surrounding it. Did we mention there’s the new M2 sitting inside this? Well of course it’s using the second generation of Apple Silicone processors. Apple says the M2 has an 18% faster CPU, a 35% more powerful GPU, and a 40% faster Neural Engine. It also delivers 50% more memory and up to 24GB of fast unified memory and comes with 18 hours of battery life.

But that’s just the M2, the new MacBook Air is the real talk of the town. It has come with weight loss. It has been built from the ground up around M2 and thus has an entirely new design that is sleek with an astonishing 20% reduction in volume. Measuring just 11.3 mm thin and weighing 1.2kgs, the all-aluminium unibody is built to last.

MagSafe returns to MacBook Air as well, giving users a dedicated charging port that is easy to connect and protects your charger when it is inevitably yanked out. MacBook Air also features two Thunderbolt ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a keyboard featuring a full-height function row with Touch ID, and a spacious Force Touch trackpad. Additionally, this MacBook Air is getting a 1080p FaceTime HD webcam (and a notch) and new mics and speakers that support Dolby Atmos.

Obviously, it won’t make any noise because it has a fanless design. It’ll be available starting July in four finishes — silver, space gray, midnight, and starlight. Starting at ₹1,19,900. Is it time for your next upgrade? We most definitely wouldn’t mind an upgrade from our Intel Macs.
