For those looking to upgrade their MacBooks, here’s some news that should make you smile – and your wallets afraid. The recently announced Apple MacBook Pro 13 with the M2 chip is set to go up for pre-orders later this week (June 17).
The new MacBook Pro looks similar to the previous MacBook 13 Pro with the M1 chip. But all the major improvements are under the hood. There’s now a spanking new M2 chip with eight cores, and a 10-core GPU.
Apple claims this laptop is perfect for playing graphics-intensive games, as it is nearly 40% faster than the previous MacBook Pro, with a 3.3x efficiency compared to the older models without Apple silicon.
When it comes to cooling, Apple has used a single fan for better heat dissipation alongside an active cooling system. With up to 24GB of unified memory, this laptop has support upto 20 hours of video playback on a single charge.
It includes two Thunderbolt ports, and one of them will be used for charging, as there’s no MagSafe charging like the new M2-powered MacBook Air
This Pro laptop continues to feature a Touch Bar above the keyboard. Additionally the laptop packs an HD webcam, fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, and Dolby-enabled speakers, and standard 8GB of RAM.
Prices start at ₹1,29,900 (256GB) and go up to ₹1,49,900 (512GB). Pre-orders kick off this week, and deliveries will start on June 24 worldwide
