After the world got tired of mocking Samsung for making mammoth-sized smartphones, everyone pretty much started adapting to the new normal — big is better. Fast forward to 2022 and we no longer have smartphones that are below 6in and that is why smartphones like the Asus 8Z feel like a rare breed with Apple’s iPhone Mini being the exception.
The Asus 8Z is packed with everything you’d need to get through the day with a powerful flagship. You only get one variant here in India with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, 8GB of RAM and 128GB. The 5.9in AMOLED display is rocking a rapid 120Hz refresh rate with HDR 10+ wrapped in Gorilla Glass Victus. The diminutive size also has a fairly reasonable price tag of ₹42,999 so you don’t get wooed by Apple’s offering.
Small size is no excuse to boot features and that’s why Asus has packed pretty much everything you’d need here. UFS 3.1 storage? Got it. Fast charging? There’s a 30W brick inside. Big battery? How does 4000mAh sound?
Around the back, you get two cameras. The 64MP (Sony IMX686) primary camera and a 12MP wide-angle. And if you’re selfie-obsessed then there’s a 12MP front-facing camera as well. The phone will be available on Flipkart starting 7th March.
