Yoga is in, especially when it comes to devices. First, we got the likes of the Z Flip and the Z Fold. Now it is time for Asus’ long-awaited Zenbook 17 Fold OLED. The hybrid device which looks like a book to the naked eye is based around a folding 17.3in 2560x1920px OLED display of 4:3 aspect (in its natural unfolded form) with 500 nits of peak brightness.

When fully unfolded, The device uses its own kickstand to remain upright and work as a monitor - a nice convenient solution for office work when combined with the Bluetooth keyboard. Now, the fun begins, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED folds up 120 degrees and can be used with the Bluetooth keyboard, allowing you to still enjoy the complete 17.3in display. You can also convert the bottom half into a virtual keyboard if that's the way you prefer it.

If you want to go conventional and relatively old-school, like an iPad, you can use a  magnetically-attachable physical keyboard with half of its display at 12.5-inch (1920x1280px.) Last, but not least (in fact, most) you can use the device as just a (massive) tablet. Reading on it would be comparable to an actual book at this point.

So down to the goodies and baddies. The Zenbook 17 Fold is powered by an Intel i7-1250U processor and the device runs on Windows 11. Graphics are taken care of by Intel's Iris Xe. You get about 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD. This is all possible courtesy of the 75Whr 4-cell battery that gives you about nine and a half hours of screen time.

Weighing in at 1.5kg, the device packs on quite a bit on the connectivity front, including two USB-C ports, Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5mm audio jack. The hybrid device is priced at $3,499 (₹2,78,000 approx) and is available in Tech Black. That’s more than the average laptop and foldable phone combined! But hey, you can unfold new possibilities with this one.
