The AMR23 and MCL60, weren’t the only cars to debut yesterday. While it may not be an F1 car, the Audi Q3 Sportback definitely deserves some attention among the hubbub of gearheads who are falling in love with some beautiful new vehicles this Valentine’s Day. The Audi Q3 Sportback is a coupe SUV available only in the top-spec Technology trim. It is priced a lakh higher than the standard Q3 model, bringing it up to about ₹51.43 lakh (ex-showroom).
Becoming one of the first coupe SUVs in the segment, the Q3 Sportback brings some unique design elements over the Q3 standard model. Up front, the huge hexagonal grille on the coupe SUV sports a honeycomb pattern rather than the slatted pattern on the Q3 SUV. It also receives silver-finished, sharper air intakes that are more trapezoidal in design. The Q3 Sportback features a dramatically slanted roofline and 10-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Q3 Sportback measures 4,518mm in length, 1,843mm in width, and 1,558mm in height. As a result, it is 49mm shorter, 6mm wider, and 36mm longer than the Q3 SUV. Five colour choices are available for this model, including Navarra Blue, Turbo Blue, Glacier White, Chronos Grey, and Mythos Black.
To answer the true question of performance figures, the 320Nm, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 190 horsepower is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission in both the Q3 Sportback and Q3 SUV. The coupe SUV can reportedly accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 220 km/h when power is distributed to all four wheels.
On the Stuff side of things, the Q3 Sportback's interior layout is identical to the Q3 SUV. That same 10.1in touchscreen with Audi’s Virtual Cockpit all-digital instrument cluster is offered. Much like the SUV, the Q3 Sportback comes with features such as a 10-speaker audio system, wireless charger, 30-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof and dual-zone temperature control. Six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system are some of its most important safety features. However, the Sportback still lacks ADAS features just like the Q3 SUV. The upholstery is offered in two colour variants– Okapi Brown and Pearl Beige.
So if this SUV coupe is the lover you are seeking this Valentine’s Day, Audi has already opened bookings for the coupe SUV at a token amount of ₹2 lakh. It does remain unrivaled as the only SUV coupe in its segment. So go ahead and take impulse purchases to the next level…
