Auto Expo 2023 has started and brought along an array of nifty coupes and some really impressive automobile concepts by world-class brands. The ones in the discussion here are Lexus’s LF-30 and LF-Z concept EVs.

Starting with the super chic and good-looking LF30. At first glimpse, the car looks like a space shuttle with full-winged doors hinged to the glass roof. The concept EV is around 5 metres in length and weighs around 2.4 tonnes. It has a four-wheel drive with 536 hp and 700Nm of peak torque which means the vehicle can go from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.8 seconds.

The LF30 has a WLTP-rated range of 500km and a 110kWh battery which can be charged using a 150kW charger. Some other cool features include augmented reality, gesture control, and B-pillar-less cabin access.

The concept car also features a Mark Levinson sound system with speakers built into the headrests and noise-cancellation technology. And the glass roof gets a voice and gesture control to change the information on the AR-powered SkyGate display.

The LF-Z, on the other hand, comes with a dedicated EV platform and features the brand’s Direct4 AWD technology. On the inside, it has a Tazuna-inspired cockpit design. Plus, the vehicle uses AI for understanding the driver’s preferences and behaviour for a more personalised experience. Just like the LF30, the LF-Z too has a  Mark Levinson sound system with noise-cancellation technology.

The LF-Z has dual electric motors producing 544hp and 700Nm of torque with a top speed of 200kph and a 0-100kph time of around 3sec. There is a 90kWh battery which can be charged using a 150kW charger and a WLTP-rated range of 600km.
