Yes, we are all familiar with the Switch, but the Ayaneo 2 and Ayaneo 2 Geek are the newest handheld gaming PCs. And, these are very close to Steam Deck territory. The Ayaneo 2 completely wrecked its funding goal on Indiegogo by achieving 18,507% of its ₹5,43,120 goal, the devices will be priced starting at $950 (₹77,000 approx.) and $750 (₹61,000 approx.) respectively, and that’s with the early bird discounts.

Sporting 7in displays, built-in game controllers and AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processors with Radeon 680M graphics, the devices offer up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. The Geek edition is the less costly of the two despite the identical processor, graphics, and basic feature set. What differentiates the two is that the Ayaneo 2 has a 1920x1200 pixel display and Ayaneo Geek offers a 1280x800 pixel screen and black body. The Ayaneo 2 also has a PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 SSD, while the Geek has a PCIe 3.0 M.2 2280 SSD. The Ayaneo 2 has a more advanced vibration motor and gyroscopic sensor system with gyroscopes in the main body as well as in the handles!

Both devices have LPDDR5-6400 memory, a microSD card reader, two USB 4 ports and one additional USB Type-C port, support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, stereo speakers, dual microphones, and a 50.25Wh battery. Weighing about 680 grams, both ship with Windows 11, with the capability to support the Linux-based Ayaneo OS.

It seems to have a bunch of positives and evidently, a whole lot of people believe in its capability so let's keep our fingers crossed and hope it lives up to its promise.
