The official launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has been lined up for October 28, but the franchise has decided to provide some interesting perks to those die-hard supporters who pre-order the game. The fans and players who preorder the digital edition of Modern Warfare II will receive early access to Campaign and Open Beta plus alongside several other rewards.
The single-player Campaign is composed of several missions that take you across the globe. Pre-ordering the Standard Edition will give you access to the game from October 20, a whole week before the rest of the world. You will get access to the full game, as well as Open Beta Early Access on October 28th. Within the Final Judgement Bundle, you get immediate access to the Legendary “Deathknell” Operator Skin as well as the Legendary “Bloodthirsty” Weapon Blueprint for use in Vanguard and Warzone. The preorder platform is required to redeem the Final Judgement Bundle which is sold/downloaded separately.
If you pre-order the Call of Duty Modern Warfare II Vault Edition, in addition to the previous perks, you will also get access to Red Team 141. This team comprises four playable Multiplayer Operators — Ghost, Farah, Price, and Soap, each dripped out in a special masked outfit, available during the Open Beta. Additionally, you get the FJX Cinder Weapon Vault. More about this is yet to be revealed by the developers, but the new Gunsmith will also be available during the Open Beta at Call of Duty: Next event happening on September 15. On top of all this, you get a Season One Battle Pass, 50 Tier Skips and the Ghost Legacy Pack that comes with over over 20 free items. This pack must be redeemed by October 28, 2023.
In the Campaign, missions take you to Europe, Asia and the Americas and will feature offshore sieges with underwater combat, explosive assaults from high above enemy strongholds, and stealth missions. All pre-purchase players are eligible to receive Ghost Legacy Pack rewards at a later date, although Modern Warfare (2019) and Warzone are not available on Steam.
