Esports is slowly becoming as popular as any professional sport, and with that, the need for professional-grade equipment is at an all time high. Corsair’s new K70 RGB Pro is one such pro-grade mechanical keyboard that is highly customisable and highly responsive.
It is a full-sized keyboard targeted at the gaming community, and with a particular focus on speed. Speaking of which, the keyboard internally scans for key presses at up to 8,000Hz, which is way over the 1,000Hz on standard keyboards. The result is a far less input latency.
The K70 RGB Pro uses Cherry MX Speed switches, which typically need to be pressed far less before they register a press. All this may sound a bit over the top, but lower latencies and faster key presses can make the difference between virtual life and death.
To show off its tournament credentials, Corsair has also added what it calls a ‘tournament switch’. This disables the flashing back lights and macros for when you need to fully focus on your game.
The Corsair K70 RGB Pro is priced at $159.99 (approx ₹12,000), and will soon be available in select countries.
