It may be hard for you to find your perfect match, but for your PS5, not so much. We have been given the first look at the DualSense Edge wireless controller, and it should have everything a pro would need or someone who spends all day mashing buttons in Call of Duty. It lets you customize your controls, has additional buttons on the back and even comes with changeable thumb sticks. So you can pretty much customise your controller yourself and craft your own gaming experience tailored to your playstyle.

Let’s dive into the goodies. The PlayStation DualSense Edge controller features hardware and software-based customization options to create the ideal personalized controller experience. You can remap or deactivate specific button inputs and fine-tune your aim by adjusting stick sensitivity and dead zones (because not everyone treats their controller with the same amount of gentleness).

You can even adjust the distance your analogue stick moves before it’s recognized in a game. Each trigger is adjustable with options to perfect travel distance and dead zones as per your requirement. So you could manually reduce the travel distance of the triggers if you require faster inputs in competitive FPS games or perhaps reduce the dead zone for precise throttle control in racing games.

Since tailoring your controls can be quite a time-consuming process, you now have the ability to save multiple control profiles and swap between them on the fly. So it doesn't matter where or whom you play, you will always have your preferred controls for your games ready to go.

There is a dedicated Fn button that allows you to easily adjust your setup while staying focused on the in-game action. This allows you to quickly switch between your pre-set control profiles and adjust game volume and chat balance. You can even access the controller profile settings to set up and test new control iterations while in-game.

The controller comes with changeable stick caps, with low dome, high dome and standard options, while the back buttons have two sets– half dome and lever. You can now increase the life of the controller with the ability to fully replace each individual stick module (replacement stick modules will be sold separately).

Like all DualSense wireless controllers, the Edge comes with haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, a built-in microphone and motion controls. The controller comes with a Type-C braided cable, which uses a connector housing to lock into the controller to avoid getting yanked out at crucial moments. Lastly, it comes with a carrying case to keep everything organized and safe.
