FiiO says the JD3 has been crafted in a way that allows the air pressure inside each bud to reduce distortion and produce cleaner bass by allowing the drivers to move as necessary. It also focuses on usability through colour coded left and right, for each ear.
The design uses braided cables and aluminium alloys for the 3.5mm audio jack and in-line controls. There’s also 9.2mm diaphragm drivers, allowing for deep bass, lush mids and vibrant treble. Lastly, the voice coils are made using CCAW — a lightweight material that’s easy to drive and capable of producing a high sensitivity of 107 dB/mW.
