These days you can buy a smartwatch at pretty much any budget. But not everyone is likely to be a fan of a tablet-like display sitting on their wrists. For them, Fossil has launched a hybrid timepiece. The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid, as the name suggests, is a smartwatch in a classic watch guise.
There are two variants to choose from – Machine and Stella. The former sports a macho design with its 45mm case, textured bezels, and colour options of black, smoke and silver. Stella, on the other hand, is a bit more feminine with its 40.5mm case and colour options of rose gold, silver and two-tone.
In addition to the various colour options, the smartwatches also support interchangeable bands. Buyers can opt from three-link metallic, classic leather and silicone bands.
Feature-wise, the Gen 6 Hybrid is able to track your workouts, heart-rate, sleep, steps, and blood oxygen levels. It is claimed to boast a battery-life of up to two weeks, and there’s also support for Amazon’s Alexa. Using the microphone onboard, you can invoke Alexa and give it voice commands.
Fossil has also announced a revamped companion app for its smartwatches. This app (on Android and iOS) brings in a new UI and a smarter way to show all the data.
Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid prices start from ₹17,633 (leather and silicone) and go up to ₹19,173 (bracelet).
