Fujifilm has unveiled the latest addition to its popular Duvo series, the Fujinon HZK14-100mm Duvo Portable. This compact, lightweight dual-format lens, designed for large image sensors, weighs 2.54kg and measures 266.9mm, making it the most portable lens in the Duvo lineup.
The lens offers a 7.1x zoom with a 14-100mm focal range in Super 35 format. With the built-in 1.5x expander, it extends to 21-150mm, ensuring coverage for 16:9 aspect ratio on large-format cameras. Fujifilm claims the lens delivers cinematic visuals with smooth, beautiful bokeh, thanks to advanced aspheric elements and Super-ED lenses that minimise aberrations, even at the maximum aperture of T2.9. Its versatility is further enhanced by a broadcast-style drive unit, enabling easy zoom and focus control, and it is fully compatible with a wide range of third-party cinema production accessories.
The Fujinon HZK14-100mm Duvo Portable features a broadcast-style drive unit, enabling smooth zoom and focus control, similar to broadcast lenses. It supports multi-camera setups for efficient production and is compatible with third-party wireless controllers for remote adjustment of focus, aperture, and zoom, ideal for film and TV shoots. The 0.8M gear pitch on the focus ring works with standard cinema accessories like Follow Focus and external motors. With a 114mm front diameter, the lens easily fits a matte box, or users can opt for the included 127mm-thread rubber lens hood for flexible light control.
