A good personal gym trainer charts out the right kind of workout suited for your body type, and also tells you the importance of recovery. Garmin is now bringing these capabilities to your wrists with its latest Fenix 7 smartwatches.
The latest series includes three models – Garmin Fenix 7, Garmin Fenix 7S, and the top-of-the-line Garmin Fenix 7X. All three can monitor a wide range of health and fitness activities, including sports like Golf, Surfing and Snowboarding. They can track blood oxygen levels, heart-rate, respiration, stress, and also your body’s energy levels.
There’s also a new real-time stamina tool that tracks exertion levels during activities. Daily Workout Suggestions give workout recommendations based on your fitness levels and training load. More importantly, the new
Recovery Time Advisor tells you when and how much you need to rest to recover from the previous workout.
The Fenix 7 comes in 42mm, the Fenix 7S in 47mm, and Fenix 7X in 51mm sizes. They feature a 1.3in, 1.2in, and a 1.4in colour display respectively with 280x280 pixels resolution. All three are solar powered, and the built-in batteries are able to last up to five weeks in smartwatch mode, and up to five days in GPS mode.
The new Garmin Fenix 7 series smartwatches have been launched in the US, with no word on an India launch yet. Prices for the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7S start from $699.99 (approx ₹52,100) and go up to $899.99 (approx ₹67,000).
Prices for the Garmin Fenix 7X, on the other hand, start from $899.99 (approx ₹67,000) and go up to $999.99 (approx ₹74,500).
