Garmin is set to launch its latest and most technically advanced fitness tracker - the Fenix 8 - in India in the coming days. With a launch event scheduled for October 23, Garmin will be lifting the curtains off the Fenix 8 fitness tracking smartwatch, which is designed to offer premium-grade fitness tracking and support to the most serious athletes and outdoor adventurers. The Garmin Fenix 8 is likely to be priced at Rs. 1,29,990 in India, and will be available in three sizes, based on the product listing on the company's India website.

Launched globally in August this year, the Garmin Fenix 8 features an AMOLED display and battery life of up to 29 days on a single charge. There is also GPS connectivity, along with a rugged dial and frame which makes it well suited for rough and intense usage. A built-in speaker and microphone lets you take calls, as well as control certain functions with offline voice commands - useful for when you're out in the wilderness with no connectivity and need your hands to keep moving.

Fitness and health tracking covers all the major requirements, including heart rate, blood oxygen monitoring, and workout tracking. Garmin's popular customisable morning reports offer insights on fitness, workout readiness, and more, to help users get a better understanding of their fitness and plan their schedules accordingly.

Understandably, the Garmin Fenix 8 will go up against the Apple Watch Ultra 2 at this price, although Garmin does promise better workout and fitness tracking performance. Built for everything from rugged and high-intensity training and activities including climbing, diving, and more, the Fenix 8 features superior atmospheric sensors, GPS tracking with outdoor maps, and sleep and recovery tracking. More details will of course be revealed at the launch of the Fenix 8 on October 23.
