With the world electrifying at a rapid rate, it’s only logical that Gogoro has announced its strategic partnership with Zypp Electric to launch a B2B pilot project for battery-swapping tech.
Set to begin in Delhi next month, the companies have joined together in an attempt to accelerate the urban shift of logistics fleets and last-mile deliveries to electric using battery swapping. The initiative will include Gogoro Network GoStations, Gogoro Smart Batteries and Gogoro smart scooters and the findings from this pilot project will pave the way for further scaling across the nation.
With over 350 million battery swaps to date, Gogoro is one of the ambassadors for EV battery swapping. This is an idea that could prove extremely beneficial and viable in densely populated cities for electric two-wheelers. So hey, at least there’s something good in the works for the environment!
