Huawei has unveiled its Mate 70 series in China, featuring four models – Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+, and the luxe Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design. These dual-SIM flagships let users choose between HarmonyOS 4.3, which stays Android-friendly, or the cutting-edge HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0. Huawei’s in-house OS is positioning itself as a sharp alternative to Google’s Android.
The standard model features a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display, while the Mate 70 Pro and Pro+ step it up with a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED, all peaking at 2,500 nits and refreshing at 120Hz. The star of the show, the Mate 70 RS, features a 6.9-inch dual-layer LTPO OLED display with a peak brightness of 3,500 nits.
Under the hood, the flagship Mate 70 RS and Pro+ models are powered by the Kirin 9020 processor, while the standard Mate 70 settles for the Kirin 9010. RAM options range from 12GB on the Mate 70 and Pro to 16GB on the Pro+ and RS, with storage maxing out at 1TB across the board.
The Huawei Mate 70 series also seems to bring solid camera chops. Across the lineup, you'll find a 50MP main shooter with OIS, paired with a 40MP ultrawide lens featuring a 120-degree field-of-view and f/2.2 aperture. The standard Mate 70 includes a 12MP periscope telephoto lens offering 5.5x optical zoom, 30x digital zoom, OIS, and an f/3.4 aperture. Meanwhile, the Pro, Pro+, and RS models step up to a 48MP periscope telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, a whopping 100x digital zoom, OIS, and a brighter f/2.1 aperture.

Selfie duties are handled by a 13MP front-facing camera (f/2.4) across all four models. The Pro, Pro+, and RS editions also add extra flair with sensors for facial recognition and hand gesture control.
The Mate 70 and Mate 70 Pro pack a 5,500mAh battery, while the Pro+ and RS models bump it up to 5,700mAh. Charging speeds are—66W wired and 50W wireless for the standard Mate 70, and 100W wired and 80W wireless for the other three.
For security, the series includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner across the board, with the Pro and RS models adding advanced facial recognition via dedicated sensors. Plus, with IP68 and IP69 ratings, all four handsets are prepped for rough and tumble conditions. Pricing starts at CNY 5,499 (around ₹64,100).
