A good quality sound system can make even the screechiest of saas-bahu shows sound like a treat on the ears (though we would overtly recommend it). And well, who better to look to while trying to find an audio setup than Sennheiser? The company has just launched the Ambeo Soundbar line-up, which includes the new Ambeo Soundbar Plus and the Ambeo Sub.
The Ambeo soundbar Plus is one of the first 7.1.4. a standalone soundbar that places you right in the centre of all the action (so you can hear that slap on repeat). This one is more compact than its predecessor, the Ambeo Soundbar Max, previously known as the Ambeo Soundbar. This soundbar will offer the same 3D sound as the first version, alongside a self-calibration mode. It has made claims to analyze a room's acoustics to position several virtual speakers.
The device comes with support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Sony's 360 Reality Audio and MPEG-H Audio. You should be able to upmix stereo and 5.1 content to deliver 3D audio experiences, too. Ambeo Soundbar Plus supports various streaming platforms and services like Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. It also has Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility.
The Ambeo Sub will also use virtualization and self-calibration tech. The deep bass on the speaker will not let the audiophile down, with a relatively constant 27Hz. The sub has an eight-inch proprietary woofer in addition to a 350W class-D amplifier. It will also enable you to connect to up to four subwoofers wirelessly and calibrate them individually.
The Soundbar Plus will cost €1,499 (₹1,20,000 approx.) while the Ambeo Sub is priced at €699 (₹55,000 approx.). So audiophiles, assemble! This one is just for you.
