Indus Battle Royale, the made-in-India multiplayer battle royale game developed by Pune-based Super Gaming, finally gets an official launch date. The game is set to go live on Android and iOS device on October 16, following months of teasers, trailers, character design sketches, and more. Earlier this year, the Beta version went live, as the game developers continued to work on the game while ironing out the overall experience for the mainstream release. The wait has finally come to an end, as the multiplayer online battle royale game is set to be released for all to play.

The new game has already gathered over 12 million pre-registrations, and users will be able to download and play the game on October 16. Alongside the launch date announcement, a new cinematic trailer for the game has also been released, showing some off the characters and glimpses of the world map of the game.

The new game's Indian origins mean that many of the characters feature Indian cultural touches, along with various architectural and landmark elements on the map known as Virlok. The game is also said to introduce a dual-victory condition - new for battle royale games - where players can win by not only being the last person standing (as in typical battle royale games) but also by collecting 'Cosmium', an in-game element which is part of the plot.

The trailer of the game also showcases the 'grudge' element, where another player can be marked with a grudge that allows for specific targeting by individual players and teams. The game will work on most Android and iOS devices on launch, but be sure to check before downloading.
