The 13th Gen Intel Core processor family has landed in India and it brings six new unlocked desktop processors, starring the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K, which is believed to be one of the world’s fastest desktop processors out there with 24 cores (8 P-cores, 16 E-cores) and 32 threads. That in addition to the incredibly fast clock speed of up to 5.8 GHz and 15% better single-thread performance, makes it ideal for quality gaming, streaming, recording experiences and everything in between.

While the charge is led by the Intel Core K series of unlocked processors, the 13th Gen Intel Core desktop family consists of 22 processors and more than 125 partner system designs, so expect to see the next desktops and AIO housing an Intel 13th Gen chip. The Intel event also showcased a slew of PC designs made possible by the latest 13th Gen processors, from full tower desktops to the teeniest small factor systems as well as desktops that flaunted incredible custom water loops.

That's not all. Enthusiasts can use the 13th Gen processors’ performance improvements with existing Intel 600 or new Intel 700 series chipset motherboards. You can also use your existing DDR5 RAM or DDR4.

Intel has also updated its easy one-click overclocking feature, Intel Speed Optimizer, to support 13th Gen Intel Core unlocked processors to allow users to overclock effortlessly. The robust Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) 3.0 ecosystem additionally provides a range of overclocking modules. This when coupled with Intel Dynamic Memory Boost, provides a one-step memory overclocking for both DDR4 and DDR5.

The desktop processors pack on new features like Intel Adaptive Boost Technology and Thermal Velocity Boost which opportunistically boost processor clock frequencies based on power and thermal usage. Available in Intel Core i9 unlocked SKUs. The units will see an increase in the E-cores across Intel Core i5, i7, i9 power. This is a considerable leap in multi-threaded performance and gives way to a better multi-tasking/mega-tasking experience for users. There is also PCIe Gen 5.0 support and increased memory support to DDR5-5600 and DDR5-5200, while simultaneously maintaining DDR4 compatibility. Lastly, it will see up to twice the L2 cache and an increased L3 cache, too. The 13th Gen Intel Core desktop processors will be available in India starting October 21, 2022.
