Klipsch makes a racier Mclaren speaker

Probably the oldest trick in the marketing playbook, but one that always works – collaborations! Klipsch’s on-track partnership as the official audio partner to the Mclaren F1 team is paying dividends in the sales reports too. 

The Fives have been around for a couple of years, and they’ve always been a great pair of compact powered monitors. They can be used for everything from streaming music wirelessly, to hooking up a turntable to, and even using them as a soundbar alternative with its HDMI ARC and optical inputs. 

The Mclaren angle comes in for the strictly cosmetic upgrades that include generous splashings of the famous papaya orange colour signature of the Mclaren racing team. The braided power cable, control panel and tweeter get the orange treatment while the pads at the bottom get a tyre tread inspired pattern too. 

The enclosure is coated in a hand-painted matte black finish, and of course, you get the proud Klipsch-Mclaren livery to show off your new purchase if the carbon fibre woofer doesn't make it special enough for you!

Since the T5 II TWS earphones have a Mclaren edition too and are on sale in India already, we expect The Fives to make their debut here soon too, for a little over a lakh. Expect a review in the coming weeks.
