Lego has designed an ode to Atari, to mark its 50th anniversary with the re-creation of the Atari 2600 videogame console in the form of a brick set. Bringing back its black and wooden body, complete with all its dials and ports, this detailed set is every geek’s dream come true.
In addition to the machine, Lego has created three model cartridges you can actually slot into the console, featuring iconic games including Asteroids, Adventure and Centipede. What’s even better? Lego claims the joystick actually moves and feels just like the original one from the ’70s.
Making the build more intricate, you can even create little sets to represent each game and the cartridges themselves can be stored on a shelf for safekeeping. The set will be available on August 1st and will cost $240 (₹19,000 approx.). But hey, it's one definite way to get your dad smiling, so why not!
