Lenovo Smart Clock Essential is a talkative timepiece with Alexa onboard

Back at CES 2022, Lenovo launched a new bedside companion, and no it’s not what you think. The brand launched the Smart Clock Essential, a talkative timepiece with built-in Alexa. 

This new clock is basically an updated version of the Smart Clock 2, which launched in India earlier this year. While the overall design remains the same, the one big change is that Amazon’s Alexa is now the star of the show. 

And Lenovo is treating it like a star by giving it some new animations for when you summon the assistant for a task. It may not be a big change, but an animated clock on your nightstand is certainly noticeable. Needless to say, you can ask Alexa for the latest news, weather, scores, and even to control your connected devices. 

As for the clock itself, you get a 4in colour LED display which shows the time, alarms, weather and other tidbits. The device continues to be covered in a fabric design that looks and feels premium. 

Lenovo Smart Clock Essential with built-in Alexa is available starting today at ₹4,999. Buyers can choose from Clay Red and Misty Blue colour options.
