2021 saw a spate of new ultra-short projectors being launched from brands, all trying to cash in on the Sardine syndrome of modern living apartments. LG’s CineBeam range has been around for a while though and for 2022, gets its first update in the form of two new models, the HU715Q and HU710P.
Both the models deliver 4K resolution with the expected pixel count of 3840x2160, both can deliver a 100in image from a distance of just 8 inches and both feature a laser light source. The HU715Q is also dressed up in innovative Kvadrat fabric to give it a more domestic look. The HU710P on the other hand is a hybrid laser design with a wheel-less DLP implementation and is said to offer deeper blacks.
20000 hours of entertainment can be expected from both the models and they benefit from LG’s brilliant WebOS smart platform and also make use of the Filmmaker mode that preserves all the original formatting, aspecting ratio and HDR values of the content. Built-in 2.2 channel speaker system also ensures you don’t always need the whole home-theatre system to enjoy a quick sitcom. The new CineBeam duos are likely to go on sale soon.
