Keyboards are keeping pace with the changing conditions in this hybrid work era. Take the new Logitech MX Keys Mini for instance, a minimalist wireless keyboard that ditches traditional keys for ones that are more useful in these times.
Logitech’s platform-agnostic keyboard is compact, lightweight, and is designed for typing on the go. There’s no numpad here, and instead you get more contemporary keys on the top row like an emoji key, voice dictation key, and a mic mute key. Joining them are the usual function buttons to control the volume, screen brightness, and keyboard backlighting.
The default version of the MX Keys Mini is compatible with Windows, Chrome OS, Linux, and Android. There’s also a macOS version with dedicated command buttons.
It connects to all sorts of gadgets using Bluetooth LE, and Logitech says the built-in battery is good enough to last up to 10 days with backlight turned on. With the lighting switched off, the battery will apparently last up to five months.
The Logitech MX Keys Mini is priced at ₹12,995. The Windows compatible variant comes in three colourways – rose, pale gray, and graphite. The macOS variant only comes in pale gray, which will remind you of the older Apple desktop accessories.
