A new pint-sized EV has arrived at our shores, and it is from the stables of Mini. The all-electric Mini Cooper SE is a fully-loaded rocket that can zip around the narrow lanes without waking up your neighbours.
It is powered by a 32.6kWh battery that puts out 184hp and 270Nm of torque, which takes you from 0-100kph in just 7.3 seconds. The top speed is set at a respectable 150kph. There are four drive modes to choose from – Mid, Sport, Green, and Green+.
The Cooper SE is said to have a range of up to 270km, which is more than enough for a weekend escapade. When you do need to juice it up, you can fast charge from 0-80% in 36 minutes via a 50kW charge point. A standard 11kW wall box can charge the battery from 0-80% in 150 minutes.
On the inside, the Mini gets a host of creature comforts, including a 5.5in digital instrument cluster, an 8.8in touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay support, TPMS, Harman Kardon audio system, panoramic glass roof, and more.
The electric Mini Cooper SE arrives in India as a CBU unit, and the single fully-loaded variant is priced at ₹47.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
