Motorola kicks off 2025 with the launch of its first entry-level smartphone of the year—the Moto G05. Designed to be easy on the wallet, this budget-friendly device features a 6.67-inch display, a premium vegan leather rear panel, and the latest Android 15. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 50MP Quad Pixel camera.
The 6.67-inch display features a peak brightness of 1000 nits, making it one of the brightest in its segment, according to Motorola. The panel also supports a 90Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass 3, with an adaptive auto mode that dynamically shifts between 90Hz and 60Hz to conserve battery life. The phone also has dual stereo speakers featuring Dolby Atmos and 7x Bass Boost, and Hi-Res Audio.
Under the hood, the Moto G05 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The RAM Boost feature provides up to 12GB of virtual RAM expansion, while storage is expandable up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The device also includes a triple SIM card slot. Out of the box, the Moto G05 runs the latest Android 15, so you can expect a clean and up-to-date software experience.

On the camera front, the Moto G05 features a 50-megapixel main sensor powered by Quad Pixel tech while the 8-megapixel front camera, enhanced with Face Retouch, guarantees polished selfies. The device also offers a variety of shooting modes, including Portrait, Time Lapse, Live Filter, Panorama, and Leveler. Complementing its camera capabilities are built-in tools like Google Photo Editor, Magic Unblur, Magic Eraser, and Magic Editor.
Fuelled by a 5,200mAh battery, the Moto G05 promises up to two days of power on a single charge and supports 18W charging for added convenience. Available in two colours—Forest Green and Plum Red—the Moto G05 is attractively priced, starting at just ₹6,999.
