If you are one of those gearheads, who need to see and know all the workings of a machine, we’re sure you have been eagerly awaiting news on the Nothing phone (1). Your patience is finally being rewarded. Carl Pei has revealed that the smartphone will launch on July 12.
So, what is all the hype behind this phone? well…nothing. Or at least Nothing’s intriguing design with a transparent back, revealing some internal workings of the phone. As per teasers, the phone will feature a recycled aluminium frame, wireless charging and no chin. Other rumours also hint at illuminating light strips at the back.
The brand hasn’t revealed everything to the world just yet, but we do know the upcoming smartphone will run ‘Nothing OS’, which is based on Android with dot-matrix elements throughout the UI. It is also believed to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset (probably the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset).
