Nubia may not be the biggest name out there, but it’s gaming smartphones are known for sporting outlandish designs and enough oomph to power a small town. In short, everything a gamer needs. Adding to its roster is the new Red Magic 7 series, which includes the Red Magic 7 and Red Magic 7 Pro.
The smartphones come in different colourways including Night Knight, an eye-popping Cyber Neon, and an interesting looking Deuterium Transparent Edition. The last variant features a glowing RedMagic logo under the panel, and RGB lights for the cooling fan.
Speaking of which, there’s now a built-in turbofan that can circulate air at speeds of up to 20,000RPM, and canyon air ducts to aid in cooling. The company claims its extensive cooling system helps reduce the core CPU temperature by as much as 16º C during peak performance.
Needless to say, the phones are packed with high-end hardware including a 6.8in FHD+ AMOLED display with up to 960Hz touch sampling, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, up to 18GB RAM and 1TB storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 135W fast charging support.
The 5G smartphone also comes with 64MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Up front there’s an 8MP selfie snapper, and a 16MP under-display selfie camera on the Pro variant.
The Red Magic 7 smartphones have launched in China with prices starting from ¥3,999 (approx ₹47,250) for the standard variant, and ¥4,799 (approx ₹56,700) for the Pro variant.
