OnePlus 10R 5G is a premium smartphone with superfast 150W charging

Smartphone brands are in a race to save you time by offering battery charging speeds that will make the Flash stumble. Racing off the starting line is the new OnePlus 10R 5G with a whopping 150W fast charging support. 

This new device is essentially the Indian version of the recently launched OnePlus Ace, and comes in two variants. The OnePlus 10R 5G Endurance Edition features a 4,500mAh battery with 150W SuperVOOC fast charging. It can charge from 0-100% in just 17 minutes, and one can get a day’s worth of charge in just 10 minutes. 

OnePlus says that there are plenty of safety measures in place to support this hyperfast charging. A customised smart charging chip monitors the input current and voltage during the charging process. Built-in Smart Battery Health Algorithm and Battery Healing Technology work together to retain 80% of the battery’s original capacity beyond 1,600 charges. 

The other variant is the standard OnePlus 10R 5G with a 5,000mAh battery and 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support. The battery will charge from 0-100% in 32 minutes.

Other features include a 6.7in FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Mac chip, up to 12GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage. 

For photography, there are three cameras at the back – 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. Up front is a 16MP selfie snapper. 

The dual-SIM 5G-enabled device also features an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual-stereo speakers with noise cancellation, and it runs Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1. 

Prices for the OnePlus 10R 5G start from ₹38,999 for the 80W variant, and go up to ₹43,999 for the 150W variant. Both variants will go on sale on May 4.
