Philips motion sensing LED batten launched

As our homes get smarter (and we get lazier), we are seeing a range of gadgets that want to rid us of mundane tasks. Take for instance, the new Philips motion sensing LED batten, which will switch on as soon as it feels your presence. 

The built-in sensor in the batten can detect motion within a radius of six metres, and will automatically switch on. If there is no motion in the said radius for two minutes, the sensor will go into eco mode and dim the light. After another three minutes of no motion, the sensor will completely switch off the light. Additionally, there’s also a built-in ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the intensity of the light. 

Such motion sensing lights are convenient and suitable for lesser accessed areas in the house like the staircase, washroom, balcony or even the parking area. Both sensors work together to help in saving energy.
