Looks like a good day for the connoisseurs of luxury vehicles, with the new BMW X1 we also got you the first look at Porsche’s latest Vision 357. The concept car is an ode to the brand's 1948 original 356 roadster on the occasion of its 75th anniversary.

Similar silhouette and stance as the iconic 356, the Vision 357 has futuristic styling cues and modern underpinnings of a sports car. The door handles are hidden in the rear side glass and the side mirrors are replaced by cameras. The front and rear lights are also integrated into the bodywork while keeping the same round graphic of the 356. As a resemblance to the OG, the third brake light is incorporated into the rear grille motif.

The vision car sure looks like the 356 but its drivetrain is that of the current Cayman GT4 RS which means this is a six-cylinder, 4.0-litre engine capable of producing 492 horsepower. Wondering why there isn't an electric motor instead of a petrol engine? Because as per Porsche, the concept’s engine would be designed to run on the company’s new ‘eFuel’, which is made from water, renewable electricity and carbon dioxide.

We are certainly eager to see this car running on the road. Are you?
