Not for the first time we’re writing about TWS on this site, so why are we excited, you ask? Because Samsung has finally cracked hi-res on TWS earbuds with the Samsung Scalable Codec tech that allows for 24-bit transmission of audio from lossless streaming services.
We’re still awaiting details on what hardware will support this codec, but suffice to say, it’s a step in the right direction for wireless audio. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro have further shrunk in size, by 15% if Samsung is to be believed, and they also benefit from improved ANC and gain support for SmartThings Find, so you can locate them easily if left in the crack of your couch.
Dolby Atmos makes its presence felt via 360 Audio that aims to bring 5.1 and even 7.1 sound to life in an act of sorcery. We’ll reserve our comments on that until we put the Buds 2 Pro to the test, but we already like its Auto Switching feature that will move sound from TV to your phone call seamlessly, just like in Hogwarts.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will be available to pre-order this week, and will go on sale in select countries from August 26. They are priced at ₹19,999, and come in Bora Purple, graphite, and white colours.
