2022 has only just kicked off, and we might already have a serious contender for the phone of the year. Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy S22 series is now official, and the spotlight is on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
In line with the
rumours, the Galaxy S22 Ultra does remind you of a Galaxy Note, especially with that built-in S Pen. As is the case with most flagship devices, the focus (pun unintended) is on the cameras, and this new device is a colossus in that department.
A quad-cam setup at the back includes a 112MP ultra-wide lens, a 108MP wide lens, and dual 10MP telephoto lenses – one with 3x optical zoom and another with 10x optical zoom. Up front is a 40MP snapper for your selfies and video calls.
Other features include a palm-stretching 6.8 Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. There’s also up to 12GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging, 5G support, and IP68 certification. Under the hood are two 4nm flagship chips - Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip from Qualcomm or Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 processor.
Prices start from ₹1,09,999 for the 12GB/256GB model and ₹1,18,999 for the 12GB/512GB variant.
