Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Portal in India, a new device designed as a remote player for the PlayStation 5. The device offers wireless connectivity and console-quality controls, and it incorporates features from Sony’s renowned DualSense controller, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for supported games.
More importantly, with the PlayStation Portal Remote Player, you can also enjoy your installed PS5 games without needing a TV. It supports both PS5 and PS4 games installed on your console.
The device features an 8-inch Full HD LCD screen, capable of rendering content at 60 frames per second. Sony describes the PlayStation Portal as a purpose-built device for an exceptional remote play experience, allowing you to connect to your PS5 and start playing with impressive speed by simply pressing a button.
The PlayStation Portal Remote Player leverages the DualSense wireless gaming controller's features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. It enhances gameplay with responsive vibrations that adjust to your in-game actions and simulate environmental conditions, along with dynamic resistance that replicates the tension felt when interacting with game gear and objects in certain PS5 titles. The PlayStation Portal Remote Player is priced at ₹18,990, the sale will begin on August 3.
