Squid Game season 2 given the green light by Netflix

Netflix and Squid Game director, writer and executive producer have confirmed that the popular Korean show is coming back for season two. They have also teased the return of many characters such as Lee Jung-jae’s Seong Gi-hun, The Front Man, Gong Yoo’s “man in the suit” and even the boyfriend of Young-hee, and the deadly animatronic doll Cheol-su.

Director Hwang shared, “It took 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year. But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular series ever,” as he mentally prepares us for a new round of chaos.

With the much awaited confirmation of the rumours around this massively successful show, the fans are more than delighted to break out their numbered suits and masks.The director has also revealed that he left hints and clues in the storyline of the first season just in case there was demand for a second season.

That being said he stated that he currently only has a broad storyline and is still in the process of structuring the story and the new games, and wants to crystallise them into more detailed ideas. So the wait continues…
