eSports has not just found its way into the Olympics but it has also made it to the screens of millions of youth in India. It's not just online fame anymore, the professional players are making fast bucks just sitting behind their monitors. Well, technically not just by sitting behind their PCs because they also have to take part in all the gala championships happening around. The recent one to take place is the grand finale of the 9th edition of the Taiwan excellence Gaming Cup (TEGC).
Organised in a physical setting after two-long years, the TEGC took place in four titles – Valorant, WCC3, Pokémon Unite and CS GO, and got over 23,725 registrations. The winning teams got a whopping amount of ₹12 lakh.
Some of the brands that displayed their tech products and gaming devices include, AIFA, AORUS, Cooler Master, CyberPower, D-Link, Ipevo, MSI, Optoma, Predator, Republic OfGamers, Thermaltake, Tokuyo, XPG, Zowie and Zyxel.
TEGC officially commenced on September 10 with the announcement of the 9th edition and the launch of TE Experience Truck, a tailor-made mobile showroom that's aimed at offering visitors a chance to experience some smart technology in ICT and gaming.
