Who has the patience to stop and charge their car on a road trip? Not us for sure. Tata Motors understands this and the impatient Born on Instagram generation and has thus launched the new Nexon EV Max to enhance the appeal of EVs and expand the market. The new range of cars are for customers who are looking for intercity travel.
The upcoming EV Max is powered by the high voltage Ziptron technology and will be available in two options, Standard and Lux. Packing a 40.5kWh lithium-ion battery, the Nexon EV Max offers 33% higher battery capacity, and a range of approximately 437kms.
After following the naming lingo of smartphones, the Max also gets faster chargers. There’s an option of a 3.3kW charger and a 7.2kW AC fast charger that tops up the battery in 6.5hrs. The Nexon EV Max will also support an incredible faster charging time of 0-80% in just 56 mins from any 50kW DC fast charger.
The insides also gets some itsy bitsy upgrades. There’s a jeweled control knob with active mode display, all new beige interiors, leatherette seats with ventilation for front passengers, air purifier, wireless smartphone charging, auto-dimming IRVM and cruise control. It also supports the ZConnect app that helps in attaining deeper drive analytics and diagnostics and customizing user experience.
You can drive one out in three colours, Intense-Teal, Daytona Grey and Pristine White. It starts at ₹17.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Now you can keep your road trip uninterrupted, as long as your bladder can manage!
