TCL has added the new T7G series to its long list of smart TVs. Launched in China, these TVs all come with 4K resolution and a fluid 144Hz refresh rate. You don’t often see these 2 aspects working hand in hand but TCL has found a way to raise the bar.
The TCL T7G series will be available in four sizes – the 55in, 65in, 75in and 85in model. TCL has retained the central features of its predecessor, the T7E but sees improvement in performance with the MediaTek MT9652 Plus chipset and support for VESA DisplayHDR 1000. The display comes with a peak brightness of 1000 nits and has adopted the Local Dimming Dot Matrix Partition Light Control Technology. This has 100 partitions for the backlight.
There is a lot to appreciate. The telly comes with ALLM support as well as IMAX enhanced and Dolby Vision. TCL hasn’t cheaped out on the audio either, with a 2.1-channel Hi-Fi audio system. The five 60W units are paired with Dolby Atmos and intelligent sound field technology for better spatial sound delivery and a more immersive audio experience. The MediaTek chipset is additionally paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. For gamers, TCL has also partnered with Tencent Start Cloud Games, to create and optimize a better gaming experience with minimal lags.
For connectivity the telly packs on three HDMI 2.1 inputs, two USB 2.0 ports, an AV input, a LAN port, an antenna input and digital audio output. The price ranges from ¥3,599 yuan (₹41,000 approx.) for the 55in to ¥8,999 yuan (₹1,05,000 approx.) Now all that’s left to do is await its arrival in India.
