Bing has got a facelift. It’s not Chandler we speak about but Microsoft’s search engine Bing that has undergone a major upgrade with the new ChatGPT integration.
The ChatGPT-powered Bing will let you have a chat experience with detailed answers to search queries. To understand better, there are some example searches on the new interface of the browser. By clicking on it, you will go to a Bing search page with traditional results on the left and a chat window on the right with the AI-generated answer.
For example, you can ask Bing to create a three-course vegetarian menu for six people with a chocolate dessert or to find an all-wheel drive car that seats six or to plan a trip within a set budget. Looks like Microsoft is aiming at shaking up Google’s hold in the search engine space.
The new ‘Chat’ tab is placed at the top of the screen alongside the existing options. So you can now enter questions in the natural language and the browser will answer with ChatGPT integration. Bing has reportedly got GPT-4, a faster, smarter version of ChatGPT.
To get access to the new chat-style UI, you’ll have to join the waitlist here, Microsoft assures you’ll get preference if you use your Microsoft account to sign in and set Microsoft defaults on your PC. Once you’re through the waitlist, you’ll get an email and access to the new chat experience.
Along with offering access to millions of people in the coming weeks, the company also plans to roll out a mobile version of the experience.
