Xiaomi’s latest brainchild sees the release of the newest member of the 12 Series, the Xiaomi 12 Lite. Since its latest Xiaomi 12S Series might be beyond some budgets, this new model will bring a feature-packed smartphone at a more affordable price.
The mid-ranger sports a matte colour gradient in the back with the rear cameras housed in a metal ring. Equipped with a 6.55in FHD+ AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate, the smartphone comes with support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. If you tend to be butterfingered, you can rest a little easier knowing the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G Mobile Platform, this model packs in a 4,300mAh battery with quick charging courtesy of a 67W charger. Weighing just 173g, Xiaomi has really focussed on going ‘Lite’. Although the specifications are nothing too extraordinary, the company has really focussed on the design and look of the phone with thinner bezels and curved sides.
The smartphone features a triple camera setup on the back and a 32MP front-facing camera with autofocus. It even comes equipped with Dolby Atmos through dual speakers. The phone comes with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage and runs on MIUI 13 with Android 12.
Xiaomi 12 Lite is available in Black, Lite Green and Lite Pink colour variants, with prices starting at $399 (₹31,600 approx) and going up to $499 (₹39,500 approx).
