Television screens have been growing in size and tech, but it’s hard to match the thrill of watching things on a massive screen. Before you start imagining movie theatres, let’s make it clear that we are talking about projectors. Speaking of which, Xiaomi has launched the 2022 version of its Laser Projector 1S.
This projector comes with 1080p resolution, and 40ms latency making it perfect for gamers. It is capable of projecting up to 150in without any compromise in picture quality. With Artificial Intelligence functionality, the projector comes with automatic image enhancement, autofocusing and multiple operational modes.
Although cheaper than its predecessor, this projector has increased the brightness to 2,400 lumens. Using the ALPD Laser Display technology for enhanced picture and colour quality, the projector comes with algorithms to support 4K and 8K decoding. To match the visuals, Xiaomi has paired the visuals with dual 10W speakers with support for Dolby Audio and DTS-HD sound technologies.
When it comes to connectivity, you can use the dual USB (2.0 and 3.0) and HDMI (eARC and 2.1) ports. You can even add the projector into the Mijia smart home ecosystem via Xiaomi’s Mijia app enabling you to use the Xiao AI voice commands.
With Indian availability and pricing yet to be revealed, the projector is currently available in China for ¥5,999 (approx ₹71,500).
