Akai 4K TVs with Fire TV OS

Japan meets America in India

if you think hard enough, you will remember Akai as an ionic Japanese electronics brand of the 80s. It has had several stints in India and the latest one is with Hometech Digital, a company owned by the PARAS Group. Not that you wanted to know that, so here are more details about the actual telly.

Launched in 43, 50 and 55in variants, the Fire TV 4K smart TV benefits from running the Fire TV OS, which automatically gives it Alexa voice control and access to more than 5000 apps on the Fire TV app store. Compatible with both Android and iOS devices, you could even use your phones as a remote control for the Akai Fire TV. Connect an Amazon Echo speaker to this TV and you won’t even need to lift a finger to turn it on! If only we could emulate that feature in other parts of our lives…

Akai claims they use an A+ grade LED panel that delivers Dolby Vision, HDR 10 and HLG, backed by Amlogic 9th generation imaging engine. We aren’t well acquainted with the previous eight generations either, so don’t ask, please. Dolby Atmos sound is supported via the 20W built-in speakers and an Alexa Voice remote makes controlling the Akai Fire TV easier than ever. All this processing is done with the help of a 1.95GHz quad-core processor and 8GB RAM that keeps the Fire TV OS running along smoothly. Prices start at 41,999 for the 43in version.
