Amazon Fire 7 (2022) tablet launched with new design, Type-C port and more

Also launches a tab for kids

The next generation of Amazon’s Fire 7 and Fire 7 Kids tablets has just launched. The model is faster and can last longer than the previous model with double the RAM of the previous generation. Powered by a quad-core processor that's 30 percent faster, the tablet is capable of delivering smoother performance.
The new Fire 7 tab is equipped with 2MP front and rear cameras. Although they may not have the best picture quality, they are good enough for video calls with their 720p HD video recording capability. Like every Amazon device, this new tab is equipped with Alexa and can play videos and music, open apps, check the weather and call or message anybody with just a voice command. It is available in three colour options, black, denim and rose.
The Fire 7 for Kids, on the other hand, comes in a kid-proof case in blue, red or purple colours. It has a built-in Amazon Kids+ subscription for a year, and access to age-appropriate educational content from Disney+, Sesame Street Workshop, PBS Kids, National Geographic and other sources.
The tablets’ battery life can last for up to 10 hours while browsing and watching videos. And, unlike previous Fire 7 models, it now comes with a USB-C port instead of a micro-USB.
Both tablets are available for pre-order starting today. The Fire 7 is priced at $60 (approx ₹4,600), while the Fire 7 Kids edition is available from $110 (approx ₹8,500) with 16GB and 32GB storage options.
