Prepare to immerse yourself into the future…

As excitement over the iPhone 14 ramps up, Apple has further piqued the interest of their its users. This time, it’s with rumours of an upcoming AR/VR headset which apparently lies in the not-so-distant future.

From what has been revealed thus far, we can expect this headset to be a “game-changer” for both the Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality markets. The device is projected to boost the demand for immersive gaming and multimedia experiences. Despite the rumours that have been floating for years, Apple will most likely also announce the launch early next year and seem to have been working on the operating system, "realityOS".

When it comes to the specifics, rumours hint at a lightweight design, two 4K micro-OLED displays alongside various optical modules, two main processors, eye tracking, object tracking, and gesture controls, that have been rumoured over the last few weeks. We may not know the exact pricing yet, but it’s safe to say the device will be priced anywhere between $1,000 and $3,000 (approx ₹75,000-2.3 lakh).
